Muscle Cars Anyone?

May 17th, 2007 by Jeanette

Back when I was in high school, I drove a 1968 Ford Mustang. My father had completely restored it and I was quite surprised that he gave the car to me to drive around in. I didn’t realize at first how cool of a car it was until I started getting compliments on it. My Dad spent a lot of time restoring it. He’d travel to California just to get special parts or accessories! I thought he was crazy. There was a time when I thought he was getting a little obsessive over the car, but you know what? This was his baby. He took it under his wing when it was in pretty bad shape and made it into a classic beauty.

Too bad the internet wasn’t really up and running back then. We could have really used it. Any type of gift for our Dad pretty much had a Mustang theme. Anything with a Mustang on it, we bought it for him. I can’t tell you how many key chains we got him. Heh heh. Do you have a muscle car enthusiast in your home? Check out Muscle Car Apparel & Gifts. They have tons of muscle car apparel and accessories. In fact, I plan on purchasing a T-shirt from their site for my Dad for Father’s Day. Here’s the logo:

The blue Mustang pictured at the very bottom is a replica of the exact same one I drove. He’s gonna love it!! What I like about this site is the fact that it also caters to women and kids. Most of those car sites only cater to men so it’s nice to see that they offer girly T-shirts and hats.

Take a look at their site. They really do have a little bit of everything for the muscle car enthusiast.

The Do Good Toolbar

May 17th, 2007 by Jeanette

Just when you thought you couldn’t use another toolbar, here’s one that’s worth downloading. It’s called the Do Good Toolbar and the premise is simple. Once you have downloaded the toolbar at
DoGoodToolbar.com, click on the Shop/Give menu on the toolbar itself, click on one of the several merchants and purchase something. They donate money to charity. They’ll even donate if you’re just searching online. How simple is that?

Here’s a sampling of some of the merchants to choose from: Apple iTunes, Barnes and Noble, and Kodak EasyShare Gallery. These are all sites that I frequent often online and even make purchases through. So now, with purchases I make through the Do Good Toolbar, money will be donated to charity as well. It’s really a win win situation. Let’s say I wanted to buy some songs through iTunes. 2.5% of the purchase price will be donated to charity.

I like the additional features that the Do Good Toolbar has to offer as well. There’s a handy dandy Email Notifier that will alert me if I have any new emails. It works through POP3, Yahoo!, Gmail, or Hotmail accounts. I can even get updates on the weather!

So why not download the Do Good Toolbar and start donating to charity. It’ll do you some good.
